Our staff just completed 2 weeks of customized security awareness training and country-specific emergency response plans facilitated by Anette and Rolf. The tandem trainers have vast experience with civilian, military and law enforcement in Germany and overseas, professional attitude and passion for addressing safety concerns of staff. They have developed a training methodology that can help secure your staff and facilities, no matter where they are in the world.

Our staff are now more cautious on how to respond to potentially risky situations like arrest and detention by local authorities, active shooter incidents, pickpocketing, checkpoints, demonstrations, sexual harassment, carjacking and kidnapping for ransom. As part of building a security culture, we have asked them to continue similar training in 2019. It was a job well done!

— Victor Ndyabagye, National Security Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH

In the past two years I had the pleasure to work with Ms Schwitzke several times in the context of the UN General Staff Training at the General Staff College of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg, as well as at the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Center in Accra, Ghana.
I have experienced Ms. Schwitzke always as pro-activ and highly dedicated in her roles as lecturer, seminar facilitator or mentor. She possesses an excellent expertise, which goes far beyond her special field. I am looking forward to continue working with her.

— Michael Jörg Exeli, In-Mission Training Team bei United Nations

Anette's ability to address controversial topics, like gender in peace & security, in a balanced way is impressive, as is her dedication! She creates an awareness and atmosphere that allows for pragmatic discussion between people with very diverse views (and often very strong opinions).

— Birgit Velte, UN OCHA Iraq

The method mix consisting of trainer input, small group work and individual study in the seminar „Gender in international Missions“  was very appealing. Her broad operative experiences made Ms. Schwitzke a highly credible trainer.

— Ricardo W. Sanchez, Participant of the General Staff Training Course (LGAN)

Anette and Rolf (Krisenwerk) completed two security trainings for our travelling HQ-based staff in autumn 2020, raising awareness and preparedness of new colleagues and well-seasoned travellers alike. The practical methodology and the complementary duo are highly effective and provided a great balance between conceptual inputs and role plays in which the participants could learn and experience their own instinctive reactions. We covered responses to a wide array of risk situations like active shooter incidents, pickpocketing and street crime, checkpoints, dealing with authorities and uniformed personnel, harassment, hotel security, carjacking and kidnapping, natural disasters’ risks etc. Anette’s personal experience and understanding of the development and consulting sectors made her intervention truly relevant to our multicultural and international context. She was also able to share her passion for bringing the gender perspective to security issues. She triggered and facilitated constructive discussions on how to respond to sexual harassment individually and how to support others affected, the groups also reacted very keenly to the segment on psychological first aid. Addressing security and safety concerns of staff is part of any company’s duty of care and such a training is an excellent founding block to a comprehensive security concept. I look forward to bringing Anette back for more on these topics.

— Virginie Duthoit – Deputy Director for Francophone Africa Agriculture & Agribusiness - AFC

Since our first joint training in Madagascar I preferably work with Anette in Germany and abroad.

Anette is very determined and resilient and is true to her own quality standard, even under difficult circumstances. She encourages the participants in her training to self-determined learning and growth by using credible methodical and didactical approaches.

— Rolf Thienemann, Senior Trainer, Krisenwerk GmbH

Since 2019 Anette realizes the „security training“ for our volunteers, who travel abroad to different countries to stay and work in social communities and institutions for 13 months.
It was a pleasure to experience how very convincing she communicated her messages, not only through her broad knowledge in security aspects, but also in her very professional and caring way of interaction. Anette showed a great ability to combine expertise with a trusting relationship, which she naturally established with our volunteers.
Furthermore, I want to emphasize the easy with which precise and constructive arrangements were made prior to the event. I was impressed by her flexibility to adapt and to help us develop further the initial ideas we had for the training.
We are very much looking forward to working with Anette again.
